A few days ago the Baiji, also known as the Yangtze River Dolphin, a rare, nearly blind white dolphin that survived for 20 million years was declared extinct.
Just another example China’s pollution and environmental problems. Its habitat was practically destroyed with the 3 Gorges Dam Project.

Coincidently a couple of days later the worlds tallest man from inner Mongolia saved some dolphins lives. Using his gigantor arms he reached in and pulled out some plastic the dolphins swallowed.
Which story is the most popular?
Well if you check out Yahoo’s most popular news as of the 15th of December you can see that the worlds tallest man is a top story but the extinction of the Yangtze River Dolphin is nowhere to be seen.
Is this merely coincidence or the work of an evil publicity genius?
The Yangtze River Dolphin extinction is just another notch to China’s poor environmental policy screw ups belt.
To be fair China’s record of extinctions is probably no worse than the western worlds.
Its just that China had the opportunity to learn from the wests mistakes which makes this frustrating.

Wow. That’s actually pretty crazy. Extinct, never coming back and will never be seen again. Humans are such a virus, it embarassing. R.I.P. Baiji.
