These white tiger cubs are obviously amazing looking animals. White tigers have a genetic condition which causes pale fur.

It’s usually caused by inbreeding in the Bengal tiger subspecies and many of these tigers have birth defects due to the recessive genes that a needed for white tigers to be born.

Hence the controversy in breeding white tigers.

These white tiger cubs are located in the Nanjing which is a major city in China downstream from the Yangtze River. The tiger cubs are at the Hongshan Forest Zoo which is an official reserve in China.

Recently the Yangtze River Dolphin became extinct and China has a mixed record when it comes to preserving wild life like almost every country.

Nanjing has also recently featured in the news due to controversial comments made by Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo regarding Japans war crimes. These types of comments are greatly upsetting to the Chinese due to the Nanking Massacre where hundreds of thousands died.

It’s also been estimated that 20 and 72 million died under the rule of Mao Zedong yet there are still many statues of Chairman Mao in China.

And then theres Tibet.

Obviously these white tiger cubs are completely oblivious to these types of happenings and they’re just getting used to the experience of being alive.

Montecore is the male white tiger that severely injured Roy Horn during an act he had performed with Montecore for 4 years.

All tigers usually retain their predatory instincts but allegedly Montecore was:

“attempting to drag him to safety, as a mother tigress would pull one of her cubs by the neck. ”

White tiger cubs have much tougher skin and fur than humans for their mothers to drag them by.
