After becoming a Vegan strength coach Mike Mahlers bench press excelled past 315lbs and he noticed that he recovered much faster. In addition, his body fat went down and he put on ten pounds of lean muscle in a few months.
Today, several years later, he continues to follow a vegan diet and he says his training continues to get better every year. Over the last two years he has decided to move away from standard weightlifting exercises such as bench pressing and curling and focus more on functional strength training.
