A rare form of dementia called Primary Progressive Aphasia has been linked to Vasectomy procedures.

At the Northwestern’s Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer’s Disease of those men who had Primary Progressive Aphasia 40% had a Vasectomy.

But thats not all. Vasectomy has also been linked to frontotemporal dementia. Almost a third of the men who had frontotemporal dementia had also had a Vasectomy.

Sandra Weintraub said:

“it may be because the surgery allows sperm to leak into the blood. Antibodies produced by the immune system in response to the sperm might trigger damage that causes dementia”
