About 18 months ago I started using the Tabata Protocol as a quick and extremely effective work out method. For me it helped create dramatic body fat loss in a few short months. Even better it allowed me to minimize the time I spent working out. So what is the tabata protocol?
The tabata protocol is an exercise system which was developed by a Professor Tabata after studying different forms of interval training with various olympic athletes - and non competitive athletes.
He’d based his studies on a form of interval training that some olympic medal winning japanese speed skaters had been using.
Interval training is a form of training where you have a period of exertion followed by a set rest period. Professor Tabata studied all different kinds of intervals until he found the time period which produced the optimal results.
The tabata protocol was shown to tax both the aerobic and anaerobic paths to their maximum which resulted in an unprecented improvement in anaerobic and aerobic capacity over the time period of the study.
No other exercise study has produced the such results simultaneously.
The tabata protocol although brief is also an extremely intense form of exercise.
Its not suited for the lazy or half assed.
Its a full on hard core way of obtaining optimal results in a short amount of time.
So if you’re the kind of person who likes to get maximum results and the maximum rush from their work out then stay tuned…
because over the next week I will be going over the various ways to perform the tabata protocol so you can get the best results possible in the shortest amount of time from your work outs.
