Online advertising continues to grow at a phenomenal rate - probably due to the high ROI that is achievable when using the right channel’s and methods online. Ways of making money online for astute marketers and web masters are certainly plentiful.

In Australia Google accounts for 80.2% of internet searches. NineMSN and Yahoo7 make up the rest while Sensis gets a measly 1.5%.

  • The U.S. online advertising industry is now worth $38 Billion dollars.
  • Spending on Google Ad channel’s grew by 65% last year and by the end of 2007 Google will be around 30% of total online advertising spend.
  • 63.6% of all US Internet users in August 2006 streamed some video online, equating to 110 million people
  • Video grew hugely over the last year. Yahoo! had 39.9 million unique video users, compared to 39.5 million for Fox Interactive (mainly made up of MySpace.com users) and 35.5 million for YouTube.
