Some people claim than Nuclear Energy should be used to provide a cheap alternative to fossil fuels to prevent global warming.

Nuclear energy is however incredibly expensive.

Sure. Its cheap once you have your nuclear reactor online. But the costs and capital layout for creating a nuclear reactor means that it can take decades to get a return on your money.

No profit motivated business or entrepreneur using their own funds would ever consider creating a nuclear reactor.

So who has an agenda to promote and profit from the creation of nuclear reactors?

The answer is businesses who get funding from governments to create the nuclear reactors. There is no other way that nuclear reactors will get built except through government funding because governments are the only ones with that much money to burn, (and no accountability).

One of the greatest businesses you can ever have if you’re a purely profit minded individual (with no moral qualms), is a business funded by government grants. If you’ve got that kind of funding it can be the most wasteful business in the world, (but you still make money and get to drive a BMW).

Once your Nuclear Reactor business comes online and you start turning a profit way faster than you ever could have (because you don’t have to pay those government grants back), all you got to do is contribute to your favorite polititians next campaign (with your new nuclear engergy profits)… so you can get more grants for your next project.
