Darrent William’s has tragically been shot dead after leaving a New Years celebration in Denver Colorado. William’s who had problems at high school in Texas after hanging out with the wrong crowd had managed to turn his life around.

He was killed in a drive by shooting aimed at his Hummer after he left a Denver nightclub.

Darrent William’s basically wanted to be a good parent, a good father, and a good example for his kids. He was known as a great guy to be around and was reputably well liked by the whole team.

Approximately 52 percent of gun homicide victims are African-American, even though they represent less than 13 percent of the total population.

African-American males between the ages of 15 and 24 have the highest firearm homicide rate of any demographic group.

Their firearm homicide rate of 103.4 deaths per 100,000 is 10 times higher than the rate for white males in the same age group (10.5 deaths per 100,000).

Whats sad about Darrent William’s is he’d turned his life around but still couldn’t avoid what is tragically a typical way to die for many young African American men.
