Actress Kelly Hu recently participated in the Honolulu marathon and hosted a Luau to support the Reef Check Foundation.
Reef Check aims to save reefs worldwide which are under threat due to rising ocean temperatures, dredge fishing, and pollution. Some of the most famous surfing breaks in the world break on reefs like Teahupoo and Maui’s Jaws.
So Kelly Hu is passionate about the environment after growing up in the beautiful Hawaii.
Actress Kelly Hu born in Honolulu, is known for her action adventure roles in movies such as The Scorpion King and X-Men 2 and was also a previous winner of Miss Teen USA .
A bunch of other local Hawaiian celebrities and Mainlanders also supported the cause including adopted Hawaiian Lost star Daniel Dae Kim, and Olympic Legend Carl Lewis.

Yup the Reef Check cause is definitly awesome. To many local city governments have destroyed reefs and beaches.
