Micro Persuasion has a great article on a Wikipedia study which shows where Wikipedia is listed in google for the top 100 brands in AdAge.
Problem’s faced for brands is the warts and all are revealed about products and businesses. Some Companies have tried to control wikipedia but this has failed and seems unlikely that there will be a way of controlling accept producing a great product or service.
