I virtually never link to mainstream newspapers for this very reason. Ed Dale makes a good point as to why bloggers are more accurate than mainstream media.
Marc Cuban likes to blog and is not a big friend of the New York Times.

Parand says he always looks for wikipedia links even though wikipedia links to know one.
